The Metropolitan Table Lamp is a sculptural statement piece inspired by New York’s Lincoln Square, where architecture, culture, and evening light converge. Designed by Joana Santos Barbosa for luxury Portuguese brand Insidherland, the design echoes the monumental arches of Wallace K. Harrison’s Metropolitan Opera House, translating that sense of structural grandeur into a warm, ambient glow.

A refined satin shade floats above a richly finished base, combining a high-gloss, translucent dark brown wood structure with polished brass or nickel details. Elegant by day and captivating at night, Metropolitan brings a quiet theatricality to bedside tables, consoles, and reading corners, an object that feels as architectural as it is atmospheric.
